1. The short version
This site, run by the operator of this Studio Umbra server, sets cookies and uses your browser's storage only to keep you signed in, to protect its forms, and to remember how you like things to look and work. We set no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and we do not let other companies set them through us. Cookies like these are the kind that do not need your consent, which is why there is no cookie banner. This page explains what they are, so you can decide what to do about them.
2. Cookies
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
.Ripllm.Identity |
Keeps you signed in. It holds a sealed ticket naming your account and role. Without it you cannot use the site. | Until you close the browser. If you tick Remember me, it lasts across visits until it expires or you sign out. |
.Ripllm.Antiforgery |
Protects forms (sign-in, registration, settings) from being submitted by another site on your behalf. | Until you close the browser. |
Identity.TwoFactorUserId |
Holds the half-finished sign-in while you enter a two-factor or recovery code. Only set if you use two-factor sign-in. | Short-lived. |
Identity.TwoFactorRememberMe |
Lets this browser skip the two-factor step. Only set if you choose to remember the device. | Persists until it expires or you forget the device. |
Identity.External |
Holds the result of signing in with an outside service while you finish registering. Only used if an administrator turns such a service on. | Short-lived. |
3. Browser storage
Browsers also give a site private storage on your device. It never leaves your device by itself, and we use it for convenience, not tracking:
| Kind | What it remembers | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Local storage | Layout choices (the sidebar open or shut, which groups are folded, the width of panels, wrapping in terminals). The last Shade server and channel you had open. Chat room, soundboard and voice preferences, including which microphone and speaker you picked and how fast your speech server responds. Whiteboard and workflow editor view settings. The video editor's last project and timeline height. | Until you clear it. |
| Session storage | A one-time flag that carries a search from one page to the next. | Until you close the tab. |
| IndexedDB | Pictures handed from one tool to another, and the video editor's projects and the media in them, so a project survives closing the tab. Both stay on your device. | Handed-over pictures are short-lived. Video projects stay until you delete them. |
| Service worker | Receives notifications while no page is open, and opens the right page when you tap one. It does not store pages or work offline. | Until you turn notifications off or clear site data. |
Before you clear site data, export anything in the video editor that you want to keep. Clearing it deletes projects that exist only in your browser.
4. Other people's cookies
We set none. Two things can bring some in. The Umbra Arcade game hub opens inside this site from its own address, and keeps its own sign-in token in its own browser storage for about an hour. And a link a person posts takes you to a different site, which has its own rules. Voice and video calls contact a public STUN service to find your network address; that is a network request, not a cookie.
5. Controlling and clearing them
- Every browser lets you see, block and delete cookies and site storage for a site, usually under Settings → Privacy. You can also browse in a private window, which clears them when it closes.
- Blocking the sign-in or form-protection cookies stops you signing in or using forms. Blocking storage does not stop the site working, but it forgets your preferences.
- Signing out removes the sign-in cookie.
- Turn notifications off under Your settings → Notifications, or in your browser's site settings.
6. Changes
If we start using anything that is not listed here, we will update this page first. The date at the top shows when it last changed. More on what we do with your data is in the Privacy Policy.
7. Contact
Questions: an administrator of this server (the people with the Admin role).
